Edinburgh Doesn't Rhyme With Pittsburgh!

About a year and a half ago I came up with the crazy idea of taking the family to Scotland for a year so I could continue my studies, and we could experience living somewhere different than the states. This idea began as nothing more than a daydream, but as Brittany and I had more and more conversation, we became more and more convinced this was something we wanted to do. After lots of excited conversation, lots of tedious planning and prep work, and lots of moments of doubt, we are nearly ready to begin our long awaited adventure. In the past year I have learned a lot about the city we plan to call home for a year, and the more I read, the more I can't wait to explore Edinburgh, the historical, cultural, and political heart of Scotland. The first lesson I learned, is that Edinburgh doesn't rhyme with Pittsburgh! Our hope is that this next year is a year of full of learning, and full of culturally broadening experiences for the entire family. We are blessed beyond belief to have this opportunity before us, and through this blog we hope to share our experiences with family and friends, and create a record that we can look back on well into the future.
