It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...Everywhere in Edinburgh

November 17th: On Saturday we play! One of our favorite fall activities is to jump in a pile of leaves. We found tons of fallen leaves at The Meadows today and raked up a huge pile! We had so much fun! Seth was making a final push on his paper, so spent all day in the library.

The kids and I decided to go to the library as well. Our local library is Newington Library and the kids have enjoyed checking books out on their own library card!

November 18th: The Christmas market is open! We had to see it for ourselves! We wondered around the market for a bit and went to an event called Light Night. Light Night marks the start of the Christmas season in Edinburgh. There is a massive structure with thousands of lights, live music and a wonderful firework display. The sun is setting well before 5:00 pm now, so Christmas lights and fireworks can happen before dinner!
Giant pieces of salmon being smoked on cedar planks.
We can't wait to try the yumminess!

The Christmas market is located in the East Prince's Street Gardens. There are three-tiers of booths, and a big lower section called Santa Land filled with carnival style rides and games. The kids all picked out what they were going to do when we return!

November 19th: After picking Asher up from school we went to enjoy a nice hot cup of tea!

Gram comes this week! More to come on our adventures with Gram!
